RCNS Age Group Curriculums

Play is the legitimate work of the child

At RCNS our curriculum is solidly based on the concept that play is the legitimate work of the young child. Our program and facilities offer a stimulating variety of individual and group experiences designed to promote and encourage exploration and discovery, creativity, self-confidence, and social interaction through participation-key building blocks for later success. Our curriculum includes music, math, writing, literature, science, art, cooking, creative movement, and field trips. Daily playtime is scheduled year-round on our outdoor playgrounds or indoor gyms, where children are grouped by age. Children learn to get along with one another, take turns, share, settle disagreements and work independently. Our children express their creative interpretation of the world around them at their own pace through unique artistic processes. Process, not product, is important for children. Our goal is for children to feel loved, valuable and competent human beings.

Our curriculum is ever-evolving based on the needs of our children and our own self-reflection, continuing education and evolving pedagogy.
