Health and Safety
1. Emergency Information must be on file for each child. This includes the names and telephone numbers of those to be contacted in the event you cannot be reached. Please help us to keep this information current and accurate.
2. If your child is going to be absent from school, please telephone the School Nurse between 9:00 and 9:30 AM or 12:30 and 1:00 PM at 337-0441.
3. Keep your child at home if he or she is not well enough to play outdoors.
4. Advise your chid’s teacher and the schoool nurse if your child is taking any kind of medication.
5. Report all contagious diseases to us as soon as you physician verifies them, so we may advise other parents.
6. Don’t return a child to school too soon after an illness. Sometimes an additional quiet day at home is preventative to future infections.
7. Inform the teacher when you take a child from the classroom.
8. Don’t send in older children to pick up chidren.
9. Send a note to authorize any change in procedure, as no child will be released without the parent’s authorization.
10. Introduce any housekeeper or sitter calling for your child to the school staff PRIOR to his or her picking up the child.
